How do I open a Live Trading Account?

Applying for a Capital Index MT4 account is quick and easy. The online application takes less than 5 minutes to complete.

What documents do I need to open a trading account?

Know Your Customer (KYC) or Know Your Client is a form of due diligence which helps to ensure that financial institutions have detailed information about their clients.

Not only does this enable Capital Index to better understand our clients’ requirements (including considerations such as risk tolerance and investment preferences), it also aims to clearly identify who the institution is dealing with and helps to prevent fraud on customer accounts.

Upon completion of your application, we will notify you if we require any supporting documents. This is usually a form of ID and current proof of residence. The requirements may vary depending on where you are resident.

How can I open an additional account?

If you have an existing MetaTrader 4 account, you may request another one by sending an email to support@capitalindex.com. You can open up to a maximum of five accounts. Only one account will show at a time in the MT4 Client Terminal. To view the other accounts, you will need to log into them individually.

How do I open a Demo Trading Account?

You can register for a Capital Index MT4 demo account quickly and easily.

Why has my demo account stopped working?

If there is no activity on your Demo Accounts for 60 days, your Demo account will expire.  You will then be required to open a new demo account.

How do I deposit/withdraw funds?

Clients of Capital Index can make bank transfers and card deposits via one of two secure payment service providers.  Deposits and withdrawals cannot be made to/from third party accounts. To deposit or withdraw funds, please go to our secure Client Portal.

I have provided my documentation, how long until my account is opened?

Once we have received suitable account opening documents, your account should normally be approved within 24 hours.

I can’t log onto my account/I have forgotten my password.

Can I transfer funds between two accounts?

Yes, you may transfer funds between your trading accounts. Please email support@capitalindex.com with your instruction including direction and amount to be credited/debited from one account to another.

How can I change my personal details?

To change your address, name or other personal details please email support@capitalindex.com.  Please note that you will be required to provide evidence to facilitate your request.
